Founded in Boise Idaho in 2009 by entrepreneur Paul Frantellizzi, GOOD CACAO™ is the world’s finest Superfood Chocolate®, incorporating proprietary and patented nutraceutical ingredients that offer targeted, evidence-based nutrition. We have partnered with leading nutraceutical companies worldwide (Martek, Cargill, Biothera, DSM, Fuji, Mitsubishi, Ganeden, Cognis, Kemin Health, etc.) to take a leadership position in the emerging “functional food” category. With the epidemic rise of diseases such as; cancer, diabetes, childhood obesity, ADHD, autism, etc., and consumers moving away from highly processed foods that are inundated with pesticides, and hormones, we felt it was imperative to deliver a best-in-class, organic functional chocolate with a strong eco-message and competitive price point. We begin our process with USDA Organic, Fair Trade, and Rainforest Alliance Certified, Single Origin Ecuadorian 70% Cacao. Our chocolatiers slowly temper the rich dark chocolate - heating and cooling it until we are ready to blend over 16 superfoods (RAW ingredients such as: Cupuacu, Maca, Lucuma, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Cacao, Coconut Butter, etc.) into our chocolate base. We then add our organic flavors and functionally specific nutraceutical ingredients. The result is a deliciously complex and socially responsible Functional Chocolate®.

Our plan delivers best-in-class organic, whole-food, Functional Chocolate® to specialty and natural markets nationally via our existing broker and retail network. With the support of our business partner, world-renowned author and naturopath, Dr. Michael T. Murray, we will drive the growth of an emerging “functional chocolate” category.
